At Bed and Bone we offer a professional dog wedding chaperone service. Think of us as your friendly dog sitter for the big day, helping your furry friend be part of the celebrations too!
Our dogs are part of the family, so having your dog at your wedding is a great idea, but it can be tricky to plan, especially if your usual dog sitters will be enjoying the big day with you.
Imagine the joy of having your beloved dog by your side as you walk down the aisle! Whether as the cutest ring bearer or simply joining in the fun, mingling with your family and friends, your dog will bring so many smiles and create unforgettable memories.
We cover Central Scotland, Edinburgh and the Lothians, the Borders, and Fife.
How does it work?
Firstly, we will arrange an initial telephone or video call to understand you wedding pet care requirement.
Next, a ‘meet and greet’ session to get to know your dog. This will involve a walk either at our home or yours, we will discuss our service in more depth and how you would like your dog involved.
Then as the day approaches, we will confirm all the finer details to ensure we understand exactly what you need from us on your wedding day.
Price starting at £240
(60 mile round trip of EH54 postcode – extra is 40p per mile)
Deposit
A 50% non-refundable deposit to secure the dates. The remainder of the balance must be paid prior to your wedding day.

Collection of your dog from your home.

A walk to exercise, settle and to ensure they have done all their bathroom needs.

Post-walk freshen up! This includes a wipe down, dry and brush to ensure they are looking and smelling their best.

Transport to the wedding venue around 30 minutes before the ceremony starts for the guests arriving.

Time for your dog to rest (in a quiet part of the venue).

Chaperone duties such as dog greeting guests on arrival, walking down the aisle, ring bearer etc.

Photography assistance – we will get your dog looking in the most flattering directions to help your photographer capture the best shots.

Toilet breaks, food and fresh water as required.

Safely transported back to your home or chosen destination.

Typically around 3 - 4 hours at the venue plus travel time, leaving before the meal and reception. However the timings can be adjusted to suit your dogs needs.

Optional extras can include:

Home Boarding: We are a licensed dog boarder, so have been vet and Council inspected. We can board your dog before and after the wedding. This is charged at our usual boarding rate £35 per 24 hour, (subject to availability)

Dog Sitting: At your home / venue / Air B&B / hotel until later in the evening (up to midnight)

Wedding Attire: We can help with the sourcing of wedding themed bandanas, bow ties, floral collars.

Additional dogs: We can pet sit multiple dogs, if others in your wedding party need their dog watched to.
