I, Hazel Ross, trading as The Bed and Bone, agree to provide a home‑boarding service for your dog(s) in accordance with the instructions and information supplied by you as the client. This service is provided under licensed approval from West Lothian Council.

 

Boarding Fees & Payments

• The full boarding fee must be settled prior to boarding.

• A 50% non‑refundable deposit secures your booking.

• The boarding balance is due prior to your dog boarding.

 

Cancellation by The Bed and Bone In the event of serious illness, family emergency, or circumstances beyond my control, I reserve the right to cancel a booking. Any payments made for the affected period will be refunded in full. I cannot accept liability for any consequential losses.

 

Drop‑off & Collection

• The boarding rate is charged per 24‑hour period.

• Late collection is charged at £10 per 4 hours.

• Early collection will not result in a refund.
   

Behaviour, Safety & Suitability

• You consent to your dog(s) being boarded with my own residential dog and up to two other boarding dogs.

• You MUST disclose any behavioural or health issues that may make your dog unsuitable for home boarding. This includes any illness, aggression, destructive behaviour, excessive barking, or antisocial behaviour.

• Failure to disclose relevant information will result in termination of the contract. Your dog(s) will either be placed in suitable boarding kennels (any additional cost met by you) or your emergency contact will be required to collect them.

 

Liability & Damage

• Any damage caused by your dog(s) during boarding will be charged directly to you.

• You agree to be responsible for all costs (including but not limited to medical care and legal fees) should your dog(s) bite or injure another animal.

 

Health, Vaccinations & Veterinary Care

• Boarding licence regulations require your dog(s) to be fully vaccinated, wormed, and ideally up to date with flea treatments.

• Proof of vaccination is a legal requirement and must be provided before boarding.

• All medical expenses incurred are to be met by you unless negligence is proven on my part.

• Emergency Veterinary Treatment In the event of a medical emergency, you and/or your emergency contact will be notified as soon as possible. Your dog(s) will be taken to your chosen vet unless circumstances require urgent treatment at my vet, The Pet Hospital, Livingston. If neither you nor your emergency contact can be reached, the vet’s decision regarding treatment will be final.

• In the unfortunate event of a dog passing away while in my care, they will be taken to either your chosen vet or ICare Pet Crem, Whitburn, to await your return. Any associated costs, including cremation, will be met by you. (This section is required under boarding licence regulations.)

 

You consent to:

• Your dog(s) being boarded and walked with my residential dog and up to 2 other boarding dogs.

• Your dog(s) travelling in a car for walks or trips to various locations.

• Your dog(s) paddling in water during walks.

• Your dog(s) being allowed off‑lead, if you have specified that they may be.

• Images of your dog(s) being used in marketing materials, including the website and business social media pages.

 

These Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings.
